Dell Inspiron 1501: The First Dell Laptop with an AMD Processor

Despite its double core microprocessor, the Dell Inspiron 1501 is still considered an entry-level notebook. After Dell desktops, it was time for Dell laptops to be equipped with AMD microprocessors. The Dell Inspiron 1501 is the first laptop to get an AMD processor. The Dell Inspiron 1501 is a decent entry-level laptop. In its top configuration, it comes equipped a Turion 64 X2 TL50 processor and 1 Go of RAM memory.

An 80 Go hard drive takes care of the storage, coupled with a DVD burner. The screen is a 15,4 pouces with ATI circuitry. The Dell Inspiron 1501 offers decent performances for an entry-level laptop.

We can regret the absence of FireWire connector. The Dell Inspiron 1501, weighing less than 3kg, can be taken everywhere pretty easily. Cheaper versions of the Inspiron 1501 feature Sempron microprocessors.
